Early Learning – Kindy Childcare Mindarie
Kindergarten: Setting the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
To enhance children’s learning and development, we have two groups in the Kindy Room – the Pre-Kindy or Koala group and the Kindy or Kangaroo group.
This means that children aged between 2 ½ and 5 years will have access to a tailored learning program that is developmental, age and interest appropriate. Children also play and socialise as a large group, allowing older children to be introduced to leadership roles and younger children to learn by watching.
Dedicated and Experienced Staff
Our Kindy program in Mindarie Keys Early Learning Centre employs a passionate Early Childhood Teacher and a team of highly qualified and experienced educators. Together, they lead a stimulating and inclusive educational curriculum. An extra educator is also employed to support children while they learn and progress to their schooling years.
Our experienced and highly qualified educators take pride in enhancing children’s creative, imaginative, language, cognitive and physical development.
Three Plus Program in Kindy
Our three plus program has been developed especially for the Kindy children. It is structured as play-based learning and is designed to ensure that children are ready to start their schooling journey. Educators connect with teachers from local schools to collaborate and share ideas that help children to start school with confidence.
Thoughtful and Engaging Activities
Mindarie Keys Early lhas an amazing ‘learning zone’ available to all our children every day. As well as this, both our indoor and outdoor environments enhance children’s learning skills and encourage participation from each and every child. An emphasis is placed on emerging literacy and numeracy skills, self-help and independence skills.
We truly believe that the environment is part of the development and education process. That’s why each of our facilities is designed for specific activities and cognitive processes.
For example, the children love playing in the mud kitchens, growing plants and cooking. Recently, a child-initiated project incorporated sustainability by building a ‘dinosaur land’ using cardboard boxes, leaves and toys. The children painted dinosaurs and then requested they make a display to show to their parents.
Kindy Collaboration with Parents
We love to share children’s learning with their families, which is why each child has their own online portfolio. This includes photos, observations and a snapshot of the week in the Kindy Room. Families are able to be to enjoy these moments and share them with extended family from all around the world.
